Website development for landscapers

A fast WordPress site that shows the work, states the service area and makes quoting easy. Registered in your name, editable by you.

What is usually wrong with the existing site

Most landscaping websites fail in the same three places. They load slowly on a phone on mobile data, which is where most of your traffic is. They show a gallery but never say what a job costs or how the process works. And they bury the way to get a quote behind a contact form that asks for nothing useful.

None of that requires a rebuild to diagnose. Sometimes the honest answer is that your current site is fine and the money belongs in ads or SEO instead.

What the build includes

  • WordPress, block editor. No page-builder lock-in and no licence you have to keep renewing to edit your own text.
  • A page per service. Each with scope, process, materials and a realistic cost band, because that is what people are actually searching for.
  • Project pages. Structured to reuse your own photography, with the location and job type named.
  • A quote path that qualifies. Short form, the right questions, routed where you will see it, with tracking on the call button.
  • Core Web Vitals as a build constraint. Not a plugin bolted on afterwards.
  • Accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA. Keyboard operable, properly labelled, sufficient contrast.

How it turns into quoted work

A site does not create demand. It decides how much of the demand you already have turns into a conversation. Faster pages lose fewer people before they load, honest cost information filters out the enquiries you would have wasted an hour on, and a form that asks about job type and timeline means the first call is a real one.

How we run it

  • Week 1. Content interview with whoever quotes. Sitemap and page inventory agreed before anything is designed.
  • Weeks 2-4. Design and build on a staging URL you can see at every stage.
  • Week 5. Content loaded, redirects mapped from the old site, tracking verified, then launch.
  • After. A short handover session recorded, so your team can edit without calling us.

What you get

  • A WordPress site registered in your name, on hosting you control
  • Service, project, area, about and contact pages
  • A redirect map from every old URL
  • Analytics and call tracking configured
  • A recorded handover and written editing notes

Questions

Who owns the site?

You do, from the first day. Domain, hosting and the WordPress install are registered to your business. There is no proprietary platform and nothing stops working if you leave.

Can we edit it ourselves?

Yes. It is the standard WordPress editor with no page-builder layer on top. Text, photos and new project pages are all straightforward, and the handover recording covers the common tasks.

What happens to our rankings when we launch?

Every old URL gets a redirect to its closest match, and we keep the page structure and content that was already ranking. A short dip in the first fortnight is normal; a lasting drop means something was missed, and we fix it.

How long does it take?

Around five weeks when content and photography arrive on time. The delay is almost always waiting on project photos and the content interview, not the build.

A written growth audit: where you rank by county, what your site is losing at the quote step, and which one channel would move the needle first. If the answer is that you do not need us yet, we will say that.
